Established Gallery is proud to present Continuum, an exhibition curated by Gail Flanery that brings together a diverse collection of 14 multi-disciplinary women artists. Through their shared experiences and commitment to their respective artistic practices, the women have built a supportive community as they navigate and succeed in the NYC art world. 

 

This exhibition will be on display from January 18th thru February 9th.

Established Gallery will host an opening reception on January 18th from 6-9pm

 

A note from curator Gail Flanery:

 

“Continuum is a collaboration.  

I recently read Mary Gabriel’s fantastic book, Ninth Street Women. It got me thinking about my own life as an artist in New York. I also began thinking about the strong and focused women artists that I have had the honor to know, and about our shared artistic journey. 

 

This is where the concept for this show developed: the shared collaborations and friendships, the decades of making and showing art. It ranges from the political to the abstract. We all share the artistic discipline and desire. We also have shared the challenges of being a woman in the arts. We have never stopped. We keep on going.

 

I believe the strength and truth in our art shines through. Continuum is a collaboration with these women.
